About the chef
A native of Belarus, Uri Abragimovich is no stranger to good, homemade food. Learning how to cook traditional food in his native homeland
has certainly prepared him for the challenges and excitement of a Boston kitchen.
Uri began his culinary career here in Boston at the St Petersburg Café in Newton. In 2004 he joined the staff at Rouge, working under the guidance of Andy Husbands. Quickly moving to another Husbands restaurant - Tremont 647 – Uri progressed from line cook to Sous Chef and finally to chef de cuisine. Before joining the staff here at Ledge, he recently worked as sous chef at Gargoyles on the Square in Harvard Square for Jason Santos.
Working under these legendary Boston chefs has given Uri the foundation to create the honest, handmade food that he is know for.
